The sky serves as a palette that is both bright and subdued. Wind-borne clouds with sinuous shapes that leap, pirouette, twist, and float into the distance. While flowers subtly dance and forest creatures have endless discussions. A patchwork carpet of lush green and gold covers the plain below. Mountains rise at its edge in anticipation of the lowering sun.

In order to be safe, high elements must be built into trees or out of utility poles.

Nature walk

The hour-long nature walk in Coorg explores the resort's lush surroundings, featuring a diverse ecosystem. Coorg boasts 25% of India's species, making it an ecologist's paradise. Guests can spot numerous animals and birds in the adjacent forest, thanks to the dense canopy of trees such as lumber, teak, and rosewood. In drier areas, shorter trees like flame of the forest, laburnum, bamboo, jackfruit, and neem, known for medicinal uses, thrive.

Fishing

Campfire and music

As the sun sets behind the western peaks, mist descends from the mountains, enveloping the resort. Join us outside at the campfire where visitors gather for music that transcends time. In the dark, fireflies dance, and the mist occasionally reveals a starry sky. Nearby, an owl's haunting call echoes from a tree.

Cycling

Unmarked paths weave through the plantation, offering quick explorations of life's intricate details that paint the bigger picture. Guests can discover the joy of cycling with our available resort bicycles. Along the trails, you'll encounter trees harboring birds, vibrant flowers, dangling fruits, and hidden tiny creatures.

Bird watching

During birdwatching in the plantation, see diverse species: Yellow-Billed Babbler, Pacific Swallow, Grasshopper Warbler, and Orphean Warbler. After dark, spot Barn and Brown Wood Owls, Short-Eared Owls, and Oriental Scoops Owls. The Malabar Grey Hornbill, Vernal Hanging Parrot, Flame-Throated Bulbul, Asian Fairy Bluebird, and Lesser Flame-Back Woodpecker feast on wild berries. Watch crest-serpent eagles hunt high above.

Coffee plantation visit

Coorg is renowned for its Robusta coffee, known for its distinctive flavor. It ranks second in India's coffee production, after the Baba Budangiri hills in Karnataka. Coffee cultivation demands precise attention to soil, humidity, and temperature, with meticulous soil weeding. It's often grown amidst vanilla clusters and eucalyptus trees. Explore the coffee plantation to witness firsthand the process of growing, picking, and processing high-quality coffee.

Accommodations often follow industry norms, which can feel repetitive. However, during your stay with us, let your creativity flow. Explore a world of décor possibilities to make your visit truly memorable. Sky's not the limit here; we offer a plethora of ways to enhance your experience.

Offsite Activities

River Rafting (Seasonal)

Rafting through the rapids on one of Coorg's many rivers is the ideal experience for thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies. The Kithu Kakathu River's swift currents, which start in Barapole and meander past lush coffee fields and steep valleys, are one of the greatest sections for "white water rafting."

Wildlife Safari In Nagarhole National Park

One of the best tiger reserves in India is the Nagarhole National Park, which is 643 km long and borders the Bandipur Tiger Reserve and the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Nagarhole park extends from the slopes of the Western Ghats reaching down the Brahmagiri hills and then south towards Kerala. It is divided from Bandipur by the Kabini Reservoir.

Tadiandamol Trek

At 5735 feet, the day trek to Tadiandamol, Coorg's tallest peak, is a thrilling experience. The trail winds gently through lush coffee and spice plantations, colorful flower clusters, and dense Shola woodland. It crosses brisk creeks, enveloped in profound silence, where bird songs provide an ethereal backdrop.

Mandalpatti Trek

Mandalpatti is a remote area close to the Abbey Falls that provides trekkers a spectacularly magnificent setting, a diverse range of flora and animals, as well as terrain that presents a variety of obstacles. It is not advised to attempt a trek during the rains since the terrain becomes slick. The ideal time to visit Mandalpatti is from November to January. Even though the area is shrouded in mist at this time of year, it nonetheless emits a feeling of beauty and mystique.
